XPV is a program that adds simulated traffic when you turn it on and are running Live Traffic so that you can still have AI airplanes all around even if you are flying somewhere Live Traffic doesn't have free sources or even if it is off hours. There's something really awesome about flying right next to a plane or taxing next to a plane that you know is taking off in real life somewhere. This brings real life airplanes into your game.
